Our services are built around providing European companies with boots on the ground to help them grow their business in the U.S. We mostly work with small & medium sized European companies. Our clients are successful in their niche in Europe, but typically have little or no sales in the U.S., and do not have the resources to research the market, setup logistics or hire their own staff. USA DEV is an ideal partner for those companies that like to get started in the U.S. with part-time business development support.

Kick-off

how do we start

We start with a four-month introduction program with our new clients. The goals of this introduction program is to get to know each other, perform market research and kickstart your sales in the USA. At the end of the four month period we have a solid go-forward plan in place. There is no commitment beyond the four month period. 

Introduction Program

what do we do

Our introduction program is structured in three phases:

Phase 1 – Preparation
We work closely with you to gather the necessary information, align on goals, and establish the foundation for your US market entry.

​

We will setup your USA team and dedicate a part-time business development manager to your project. This business development manager will become familiar with your products or services and will be your point of contact. Basic product training needs to be provided by your company, and we will typically visit you at your office in Europe. 

​

Also, we will setup your virtual USA office, including a US phone number, email address and website landing page. We will review your product documentation to make sure it suits the U.S. market​.

Phase 2 – Market Research & Strategy
We conduct targeted market research and define a tailored strategy based on the 4 Ps of marketing (product, price, place, and promotion).

 

This includes:

  • Analyze target market​

  • Analyze competitors and their offering

  • Check any certification or standard requirements

  • Review other product related items, such as labeling and packaging

  • Develop route to market

  • Develop customer fulfilment plan​; review order management, warehousing & logistics​

  • Review US product pricing​

  • ​Develop list of appropriate promotion opportunities such as trade shows and conferences

Phase 3 – Customer Engagement & Go-Forward Plan
We focus on identifying and meeting with potential new customers, facilitating customer visits, and developing a clear go-forward strategy for sustainable growth.

 

In more detail, during this phase we will:

  • Develop list of target clients (leads)​

    • Screen leads​

    • Develop contact information

    • Approach leads with appropriate marketing materials

  • Approach leads, and setup joint customer visits for top potential customers​

  • Evaluate program & finalize go-forward strategy

After the initial introduction program you will have a clear go-forward strategy for the USA market. We offer continued business development support if desired. At this stage our support is tailored to the specific needs of our clients and we would be happy to discuss the available options in more detail.
